Call for demos and prototypes

The one6G Summit 2025 Technical Committee is excited to announce the call for demos and invite demo proposals for this year’s event. Building on the success of previous editions, the one6G Summit will once again serve as a premier platform for researchers and innovators to showcase cutting-edge prototypes and applications to a global audience.

Demo sessions will offer a unique opportunity to boost the international visibility of both emerging and mature solutions, spark engaging discussions, and connect with leading experts from academia and industry.

At a glance

  • Contributing to positioning the one6G Summit as the world’s leading conference on 6G

  • Showcasing key 6G technologies

  • Targeting technologies and objectives aligned with the one6G vision

  • Open to all types of demonstrations: hardware, software, emulations, and more

  • Welcoming all Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs)

  • Encouraging joint testbeds and collaborative demos involving multiple partners

    • At least one partner must be a member of one6G

  • On-site demos are strongly preferred (hybrid and virtual formats may be considered)

    • The presenter must attend the event for face-to-face interactions with participants

Requirements

  • The scope, type, and purpose of the prototype must align with the objectives of one6G

  • Use cases should be relevant to Working Group 1 (WG1) or fall within one of the research areas addressed by Working Group 2 (WG2)

  • At least one applicant must be a member of one6G

  • At least one representative must be present on-site in Bologna for face-to-face discussions

Presenting a demo at the one6G Summit offers a unique opportunity to showcase your work in a focused yet high-impact setting. The event fosters meaningful interactions with fellow presenters and attendees, paving the way for new collaborations and helping you refine and advance your solution.

  • Collaborate on joint demos and prototyping activities within Working Group 4 (WG4)
  • Gain visibility through promotion on the one6G Summit 2025 website, social media channels, and the Association’s newsletter
  • Get the opportunity to be featured in the one6G White Paper and showcased in a video interview

  • Proposal submission deadline: May 24, 2025 June 26, 2025
  • one6G WG4 meeting: June 27, 2025 (exact time slot TBD)
  • Acceptance notification by the TC: July 2025 (exact day TBD)
  • Demonstrations: September 18-19, 2025

Submission procedure
  1. Upload a description of the planned demonstrator or prototype to the folder “Incoming applications” on the one6G repository.
  2. Register your proposal in the Excel file “one6G-incoming-demo-applications-2025.xls”
  3. Notify the TC by email addressed to WG4 Chair and Vice-Chair wg4@one6g.org
  4. Present your demo proposal during one of the one6G WG4 meetings

Logistics and shipping instructions

Detailed logistics and shipping information will be shared closer to the event date. In the meantime, please note the following preliminary considerations:

  • Demonstrators may choose to handle shipping independently or appoint a forwarding agent to manage unloading, collection, delivery, forklift support, and other related services

  • Designated storage areas at the venue will be available for demonstrators

  • Parking zones for trucks will be provided

  • Access times and dates for deliveries and setup are yet to be determined. Stay tuned for more details!

  • Setup schedule, demo session format (continuous or timed slots), and dismantling schedule are also to be determined. Stay tuned for more details!
